Is it wrong for a Christian to express his anger? Not according to the Bible. After all, Jesus expressed his indignation (John 2:15). However, the Bible, Wise gives two principles for dealing with anger. This article discusses these principles and also gives tips on managing this volatile emotion.

In Ephesians 4:26, the author notes: "In your anger do not sin: Do not let the sun go down, while still angry." The reason for this view is that if anger is not addressed effectively, can progress to forgive and possibly bitter. This root of bitterness can only worsen its relationship with the person you are angry, but they can even damage your other relationships.

So if you are in anger against someone, the first thing to do is calm down and take control of their emotions. The last thing you want is to respond to another person, while emotions are running high.

One of the best ways to regain control is to remove yourself of the situation and go to a private place. Sit down and take some slow, deep breaths. Breathe slowly exhale through the nose and mouth until your breathing begins to return to normal.

While you relax, it helps to pray and ask God for peace. One of the promises of God in Isaiah 26:3 that is, keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you. "We also ask God in prayer for wisdom to know how to handle the situation.

Other effective ways you can use to release anger include:

  • Write on a pillow
  • Having a good cry or mourn privately
  • Describing the situation makes you angry over the paper. When you have written yourself around and said, crease the paper and throw garbage or not.

After calming down, discuss the situation with the person you're angry so direct, but so sweet. It aims to express what you feel, but without putting the other person to defensive. Keep your voice and use, even the "I" or "you". I always end up providing solutions that allow you to return to an arrangement with another person. Forgive them, for there is no pain you are completely done.

Emotions can be great teachers, but not when they are allowed to be out of control. So when you are angry, they always have time before they respond and ask for instructions from God. Otherwise, you may find yourself saying or doing something you regret your relationship and irreparable damage.
